Nearly every Miami undergraduate student has been transitioned to Miami's new e-mail/calendaring system - muConnect powered by Google. With this change also comes new ways to access your e-mail. Of course, you can still get your mail from myMiami, but there are other ways as well. Here are a few tips on how to set-up various e-mail systems and where to go to get assistance.
- To access your e-mail from a system like Mac Mail or Thunderbird using the IMAP protocol, visit http://www.muohio.edu/ithelp/solution041009909230784for a list of settings.
- To access your e-mail from a portable device, there are instructions available for setting up some common devices. These include iPhone/iPod Touch (http://www.muohio.edu/ithelp/solution041010916001183) and BlackBerry (http://www.muohio.edu/ithelp/solution041010611162717). For other devices, please contact the Support Desk for assistance.
- You can forward your Miami e-mail to another account of your choice (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) by updating the forwarding address in your mailbox settings. Any e-mail sent to your UniqueID@muohio.edu address will automatically be forwarded to this account. For detailed instructions on setting this up, visit http://www.muohio.edu/ithelp/solution041009909253353.
