Tech Tip | Another school year comes to a close

Randy Hollowell, IT Services

Here it is, the end of April, and another school year is coming to an end.  Before you head out for the summer, put your technology life in order by following these tips:

1. Cancel your Internet service with your carrier.

2. Cancel your telephone service.

3. Cancel your cable or satellite television service.

Also, remember that there will be a new myMiami debuting on May 9, but you will use the same address to access it: http://mymiami.muohio.edu

The IT Services Support Desk (via phone, email, and walk-up) will be available through the summer. For more information about summer hours and location of operation, go to: http://ithelp.muohio.edu.

We at IT Services would like to wish everyone good luck for the end of the semester, and hope everyone has a wonderful summer.  If you are graduating, good luck with wherever your Miami degree will take you in the future.

Bring University documents that have reached the end of the retention period. The Miami University Records Retention Schedule is available at: http://www.muohio.edu/secretary.  Disposal forms will be available on site.  Visit www.muohio.edu/uit/ShredFestfor more information.
