The Miami University synchronized skating team was back on the ice March 4 to 6 skating at the U.S. National Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.

The collegiate team won the national championship in their division with a score of 107.60, more than nine points higher than the next best team, the University of Michigan. The junior team finished in fifth in their division, and the senior team took third in their division.

This national championship win for the dominant collegiate team is their sixth consecutive national title, and the 12th in the program's history. Miami's collegiate team was the only team in the division to receive a score of more than 100 points.

In the senior division, the top two finishers, the Haydenettes and the Crystallettes, won a bid to the world championships later this year. Miami's senior team was one of only three teams to score higher than 200 points in the competition with a score of 202.68.

Following this season, the RedHawks will lose nine seniors, but they look to build all three teams up during the offseason.
