Men's basketball loses 73-67 to Toledo

On Friday night, Miami men's basketball took on Toledo in front of a roaring crowd at Millett Hall, but fell 73-67 to the Rockets. A game nationally televised on CBS Sports Network, the matchup was marked by the momentous occasion of Wally Szczerbiak's return to Oxford.


Men's basketball loses back-and-forth against WMU

Tuesday night in Kalamazoo, MI the RedHawk men's basketball team faced the Mid-American Conference Broncos of Western Michigan in a thrilling contest that came down to the wire. The RedHawks looked to avenge a disappointing Jan. 6 home defeat against the Broncos, but Miami (13-11, 6-5 MAC) fell to WMU (14-10, 6-5 MAC) 68-64.

Men's basketball dominates NIU

This past Saturday in DeKalb, IL the men's basketball squad (13-10, 6-5 MAC) defeated Northern Illinois University (10-13, 3-7 MAC) by a score of 81-65. This matchup marked the first meeting of these two Mid-American Conference opponents and was an exciting one for the 'Hawks.



Miami makes history with Midway win

The RedHawks defeated the Midway Eagles by the score of 123-40 in Millett Hall on Wednesday evening. The win marked the largest margin of victory that the 'Hawks have recorded at Millett and the first time the program has scored 100 points since 2002.




Men's basketball faces Wright State for home-opener

Tonight at 7 p.m. the RedHawks take on Wright State -- the home opener for the program. The 'Hawks are coming off a last-second win over Fordham this past Friday and look to establish themselves as a contender within the Mid-American Conference.


Revamped men's basketball roster ready for exhibition

This Sunday November 5 at 2 p.m., the basketball RedHawks take on the Maryville Saints in an exhibition at Millett Hall. This matchup marks the first ever meeting between these two programs and will provide a preview for 'Hawks fans of what can be expected from RedHawk basketball in the upcoming season.
