Baseball defeats Butler

Miami University baseball continued their winning ways with a 10-3 victory over Butler University on Wednesday. Sophomore infielder Ross Haffey went 3-5 at the plate, including a home run two doubles, and 3 RBIs. First-year Bailey Martin pitched seven shut-out innings, and senior infielder Chad Sedio hit a 2-run home run to seal the win for Miami. This is MU's eighth victory in its last nine games, and the team is 20-16 overall.

Softball drops doubelheader to EKU

Miami University softball lost a double header to Eastern Kentucky University on Tuesday, falling 5-3 in the opener and 8-2 in the nightcap. First-year first baseman Johniann Wahl led Miami with a three-run home run in the first game, her sixth home run this season. The RedHawks drop to 25-17 overall, while EKU improves to 31-10. MU hosts Ohio University for their final home series of the season this weekend, beginning 3 p.m. Friday.
