33-point underdog Miami takes on Wisconsin

The RedHawks visit Camp Randall Stadium for a matchup against a University of Wisconsin football team that lost 35-17 to then-No. 3 and 2014 Southeastern Conference champion University of Alabama last weekend. It's the first-ever meeting between the two schools, and Miami enters the game as a 33-point underdog.


The Redhawks hosted Presbyterian as their season opener and dominated the second they marched on the field.

The Redhawks welcomed Presbyterian to Yager Stadium for their 2015 season opener Saturday afternoon. The game was back and forth and consisted of big plays and turnovers on both ends, but MU pulled away in the second half beating the Blue Hose 26-7. Running back Alonzo Smith dominated the ground with 86 total rushing yards and two TDs, and quarterback Drew Kummer ruled the air with 255 total passing yards and 2 throwing TDs, one to highly anticipated wide receiver, Chris Hudson.

Like any team with a 2-26 record over two seasons, the Miami University football team had a list of problems begging for answers when it entered the 2015 season. Rebranding the team culture became a focus of the coaching staff. The result: the first season-opening win in seven years.

When he was 15 years old, Jack Roslovic led the Ohio Blue Jackets midget hockey program in goals (23), assists (30) and points (53). By the time he was 18, he had won two gold medals and one title in international tournaments. At 19 years old, he became a first-round pick in the NHL Draft.
