The doldrums endured in the harsh winter months by baseball fans were hardly warmed by a Hot Stove this offseason. This free agent market was closer in consistency to collusion-riddled molasses than the quick flowing open-market that us baseball fans are accustomed to following.

Mannino adds experience, excitement to Miami Hockey

Miami Athletics announced on March 29 that Miami Hockey head coach Enrico Blasi hired Peter Mannino as associate head coach. With the hiring of Mannino, the Brotherhood simultaneously welcomed a new level of commitment to success and tangible excitement to the program.

The rhythm of Miami Club Boxing

Ten jump ropes whirred rhythmically on Thursday evening at Chestnut Field House. The pitter-patter of sneakers hitting the gym floor almost matched the drops of rain hitting the sidewalk outside, and not long after, the sweat of the Miami club boxers matched the humidity of the March evening in Oxford.

RedHawks', Duffy's historic season ends in WNIT

On March 15, the RedHawks' remarkable season came to an end with a 69-56 loss against Duquesne University in the first round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament. Miami finished the year 21-11 in front of a home crowd at Millett Hall, and kept up with the Dukes for three quarters before slipping behind in the fourth.

Women's basketball to compete in NIT

After a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds of the Mid-American Conference tournament semi-finals, the women's basketball team will compete in the National Invitational Tournament tomorrow night. The RedHawks will host Duquesne University at Millett Hall for the first round of the NIT.

Football RedHawks begin spring practice

The Miami RedHawks football team took the practice field for the first time on Sunday during the spring practice session. Much like last year, many familiar faces littered Ben Roethlisberger field inside the indoor practice facility, while at the same time, solid contributors such as Heath Harding, Ryan Smith, and Tony Reid are gone and must be replaced by younger RedHawks.
