In a team-wide effort, the Miami University football team won its season opener for the first time since 2007. Several team members - not just the "same five people like last year," head coach Chuck Martin noted - contributed to the RedHawks' 26-7 victory over Presbyterian College (0-1).
The Miami University football team opens its 127th season on Saturday against Presbyterian College. Head coach Chuck Martin enters his second year at Miami's helm with a young squad - 62 members of the 110-man roster are either redshirt or true freshmen.

When he was 15 years old, Jack Roslovic led the Ohio Blue Jackets midget hockey program in goals (23), assists (30) and points (53). By the time he was 18, he had won two gold medals and one title in international tournaments. At 19 years old, he became a first-round pick in the NHL Draft.

The Winnipeg Jets selected Jack Roslovic with the 25th pick in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft Friday night. Roslovic is the first Miami player to be chosen in the first round since Tyler Biggs went 22nd overall in 2011.
