“Keep Dreaming:” Miami Athletics inducts its ‘21 Hall of Fame class

Seven Miami University Athletics alumni were inducted into the university’s Hall of Fame last Friday for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the school’s athletics. The newest class of inductees features Suzanne D’Addario (‘94), Amanda Jackson (‘08), Bobby Kramig, Clark Mace (‘01), Edwin H. “Ed” Meador, Lori Reinart (‘96), and Nancy Sturgeon (‘52).

Miami Field Hockey splits over Weekend

After being nationally ranked to start the season, Miami University field hockey is now 2-5 after winning one of two games this weekend in Virginia. Friday, the RedHawks lost to No. 11 Virginia, 2-0, and Sunday the team shut out Richmond, winning 3-0.

From VHS tapes to YouTube highlight reels: How social media has changed recruiting

 Miami wide receivers coach Israel Woolfork played college football from 2008 to 2012 at Division II Grand Valley State in Michigan, where Chuck Martin was the head coach before moving on to Notre Dame as an assistant. Before YouTube was around, he remembers mailing out DVDs and VHS tapes of his highlights when he was in high school.  “Now, to see where it is, where a kid can literally inbox me with his link to his highlights, his transcripts, and everything being on the phone and accessible in a matter of 30 seconds? It’s wild.”
