Devin Johnson receives sentencing following guilty charges

Devin Johnson, a junior football player at Miami University found guilty of misdemeanor charges of assault and resisting arrest following an incident that occurred outside Brick Street Bar on Nov. 18, received the sentencing for his charges on May 30 at the Oxford courthouse. 


A Talawanda High School Teacher was placed on administrative leave today after posting a politically charged TikTok.

Talawanda Board of Education will host work session to discuss start times and school busing

Around 3 p.m. on most weekdays, many students in the Talawanda School District begin their walk home after the Talawanda School District Board of Education voted to reduce busing as a result of budget cuts. The district moved to a single-tier service, meaning that busing is only provided for students in kindergarten through eighth grade who live outside of a two-mile radius from the school.

Earth Day in Oxford

Oxford observes Earth Day 2024 with several activities, including EarthFest on Saturday, April 20, beginning at 10 a.m., in Oxford Memorial Park. Adjacent to EarthFest, Oxford’s weekly Farmers Market operates on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
