On Friday March 10, it was announced that Miami would not be renewing the contract of men's head basketball coach John Cooper and that it would be relieving women's head basketball coach Cleve Wright. Both changes come after 2016-17 seasons that ended with 11-21 regular season records.
UPDATE Tuesday 3/28 2:30 p.m.: The Student has learned that, as of yesterday, the office of Provost Phyllis Callahan has reversed an earlier decision regarding priority registration after reviewing student feedback. According to a release, students enrolled in the University Honors Program will retain early registration privileges, and Honors time tickets will soon be reversed.
ASG presidential candidates Hannah McCarthy and Maggie Callaghan will move on to the April 3 and 4 general election, after winning the March 13 and 14 primary election with the two largest chunks of the popular vote.
The Worrell-Olvera and McCarthy-Creber ASG presidential and vice presidential campaigns each received a violation from ASG's election committee on March 12. The violations are classified as "level one," resulting in a 24-hour ban on campaigning and a $50 budget reduction.

Between the dates of March 6 and March 13, the five ASG Student Body President/Vice President campaigns spent a combined $993, and received a combined $0 in donations. To date, the campaigns have spent a total of $2952, and received a total of $124.50 in donations.
ASG passed a brief amendment to their constitution last night, adding spots on the executive council for the president of the Residence Hall Association, the president of the Diversity Affairs Council, a representative from The Miami Student and two at-large members chosen by the president and confirmed by the senate. The amendment also corrected minor grammatical errors.
