‘From the princess of all things Short n’ Sweet’: Sabrina Carpenter opens new tour in Columbus

This was Carpenter’s first ever sold-out arena show, and she certainly expressed her gratitude more than a few times. At one point, she took out her earpiece to listen to how loud the crowd was, and she looked like she was about to cry. As special as the night was for the audience, it was just as special if not even more for her. Our girl has finally made it.


Nancy Strzelecki visits the Hamilton County Board of Elections on Sept. 30 with 51 more official voter challenges. Of those 51 voters, 47 of them she believes moved to North Carolina.

Cleaning up Ohio’s voter rolls

On Jan. 23, Nancy Strzelecki sat in the second row of a Hamilton Board of Elections meeting. The meeting began like any other. Board member Gwen McFarlin called the meeting to order at 8:39 a.m., and all board and audience members who were able and willing rose for the Pledge of Allegiance, led by any and all active or retired military personnel present at the meeting.

Hyper-fail: SOPHIE’s posthumous album is a flop

The entire album feels disingenuous and just an excuse for artists to put their name on a track next to SOPHIE, especially due to her status as a trans icon. SOPHIE has been inspiring trans artists to make music in the hyperpop space. The album should have never been released, and it feels disrespectful to her legacy.

Student Body President (SBP) Will Brinley and Student Body Vice President (SBVP) Babs Dwyer introduced themselves to new members of Miami University’s Associated Student Government (ASG) on Sept. 23. They talked about raising awareness around mental health, bringing together students from different backgrounds and the future of the accessibility map they proposed during their campaign.
