Swing Hall reopens, students move in after June fire

Former Cincinnati Reds player Pete Rose will visit campus this year as part of the 2015-16 Lecture Series. The discussion will be set up as a Q&A, and sports columnist for the Cincinnati Enquirer, Paul Daugherty, will lead it. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in Hall Auditorium.

An extra exclamation point, a deliberate period or misplaced capital letters: all seemingly innocuous grammatical tweaks until placed into a common text message.
Tuition for Miami's in-state students will not increase for the 2015-2016 school year due to an anticipated increase in state funding to the university. This decision was confirmed by the Board of Trustees at their meeting on June 26.
Earlier this month, news of Miami sophomore Justin Briggs' death shook the RedHawk community. Briggs was spending the 4th of July weekend with friends at Lake Anna in Virginia when he died.

Dr. Jana Braziel, a professor of Africana Studies at the University of Cincinnati, has been appointed to join Miami University as Chair of the Department of Global and Intercultural Studies this fall.
