This spring, candidates for student body president will face tighter spending caps and more lenient rules for election violations.
ASG voted on Tuesday to pass a resolution supporting "flexible" buffet swipes, where a swipe can be exchanged for up to $12 in dining dollars. The senate doesn't have the power to unilaterally change the meal plan, but ASG is a member of the dining committee, so this bill can trigger negotiations between Dining Services and ASG.
Two senators and two members were chosen by ASG Senate in a several-hour Senate session on Tuesday.
For all on-campus districts, ASG senators have been selected by direct election from their constituents on the Hub. Results were announced Tuesday afternoon, and senators will be sworn in at Tuesday's ASG meeting at 6 p.m. in the Joslin Senate Chamber.

The event is co-hosted by ASG, Student Counseling Services, the Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, MAP and RHA.
Miami's Associated Student Government elected representatives for the five remaining 2017-2018 executive cabinet positions last Tuesday at its penultimate senate session of the 2016-2017 school year.
