RedHawks feel love in California, win both games on weekend

Miami University’s RedHawks field hockey team emerged from the Sunshine State victorious last weekend after facing off against two teams at the start of the season. The RedHawks, the six-time reigning champs of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), played against the University of California (UC) Golden Bears and the UC Davis Aggies.

This Friday, Miami University and the University of Miami (henceforth referred to as “other Miami”) will clash in the Battle of the Miamis. The namesakes will meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and the matchup will be televised on ACC Network at 7 p.m.

Miami club baseball’s superb season stifled at regional tournament

Miami University’s club baseball has never made it to the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) regional tournament, an honor reserved for conference winners. Miami, which is in the Mid-Atlantic West Conference, had a season like it's never seen before in 2022-23. The RedHawks went 14-1 in conference (and 26-6-1 overall) and ran away with the Mid-Atlantic West this year.




‘She’s always been a joy’: Gabby Cossio has made her mark at Miami University

As a walk-on for the Miami University Track and Field team during her first year at Miami University, Gabby Cossio took two third-place medals in team races at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships. During her sophomore year, she was out for almost the whole season with quadriceps tears in both legs.
