Going into the 2023-24 season, the Miami University RedHawks hockey team had only three first-year signees: Tanyon Bajzer, Bruno Bruveris and Rihards Simanovičs. The latter two signees are both from Riga, Latvia. Their journey across the world to Oxford has been lengthy, but well-deserved.

In the offseason, Miami University’s football team nabbed an exciting player out of the transfer portal: junior wide receiver Gage Larvadain. Larvadain, who transferred from Southeastern Louisiana University, has been one of Miami’s most potent weapons this season.

This offseason, the Miami women’s basketball team landed a couple of exciting recruits via transfer from the University of Cincinnati. These players are fifth-years Jada and Jadyn Scott, twin sisters out of Frederica Academy in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Coming off the team’s fifth straight NCAA tournament appearance and Mid-American Conference (MAC) tournament title, the Miami University Field Hockey Team has big aspirations for this season. A big part of its historic run has been from the feature senior, Claudia Negrete Garcia.
