Miami women's hockey won the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) National Championship for the second year in a row on March 19 in Columbus. The back to back championships adds up to three ACHA D1 National Championship titles in the past four years for the RedHawks.
On Friday March 10, it was announced that Miami would not be renewing the contract of men's head basketball coach John Cooper and that it would be relieving women's head basketball coach Cleve Wright. Both changes come after 2016-17 seasons that ended with 11-21 regular season records.

Miami hockey senior Anthony Louis is a RedHawk no more. Monday afternoon, Louis agreed to an entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks that begins next season and continues through the 2018-19 season. Louis will now report to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Miami women's club ice hockey will compete for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) National Championship beginning on Wednesday, March 15. The No. 3 RedHawks will face No. 6 Grand Valley State University at 2 p.m. at the Chiller Easton Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
