Final score: 26-7, Miami. MU football picks up their first season opener win in 7 years.
Smith powered his way through the line with an average of 7.2 yards per carry, which resulted in 2 Redhawk TDs.
Presbyterian put up a fight during the first half, forcing multiple MU turnovers. But the Redhawks came out of the locker room refreshed after halftime and pulled away for the win.
One team supporting another: the hockey team came out to lead the student section in cheering along their football team.
Quaterback Drew Kummer dominated the air with 255 passing yards and 2 passes for TDs.
He also did his part on the ground, rushing for 35 total yards.
Running back Alonzo Smith led the team in rushing yards with 86 total yards and two touchdowns.
Miami University isn't necessarily known for its athletics, but it certainly has some elite athletes to please any sports fan.
Wide receiver Chris Hudson came out with a bang scoring the first TD of the game just minutes into the first quarter. The TD was a 10 yard pass to Hudson coming from quarterback Drew Kummer
The Redhawks hosted Presbyterian as their season opener and dominated the second they marched on the field.
Miami University Club of Fashion and Design recently held their annual fashion show in Millet Hall. Dozens of models, designers and donors helped put on a successful show.
