At 9:40 Thursday, June 3, a female Miami student was allegedly attacked while walking her dog near 318 Beech St.

The victim told police that a man wearing a ski mask approached her from behind with a knife, grabbed her and said, "Don't scream or I'll cut you."

The victim told police that the dog jerked her off balance and she was able to obtain pepper spray from the pocket of her jacket, which she then sprayed at the attacker's face and ran.

The victim described the man as an unknown race, wearing a black zip up hoodie, black and white mask and khaki shorts. The victim said she felt a scar on his leg when he pulled her in close because she felt something jagged.

The victim told police that the man patted her down and took her ID holder and some rings she was wearing.
