Junior female passes out between two vehicles

Thursday around 11:45 p.m., the Oxford Police Department (OPD) was called to East Withrow Street. in reference to a female passed out on the roadside. When the officer arrived he met with three subjects who stated they found Junior Caitlyn Quilty lying in between two vehicles, according to OPD. They stated they did not know the female, but were able to locate a phone in her possession. Quilty was cited for offenses involving underage persons, disorderly conduct and public intoxication, according to OPD. She was transported to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.

Officer recognizes first-year with beer

Saturday 1:55 a.m., OPD was dispatched to a party located at 17 North Beech Street. Many partygoers fled the scene when the officers arrived. One officer recognized first-year Mike Martin from a separate incident in the beginning of the school year, according to OPD. Martin was approached by the officer after he dropped a can of Natural Light on the ground. Martin led the officers on a foot chase in the immediate area. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody, at which point Martin was arrested for sales to and use by underage persons, obstructing official business and prohibited acts, according to OPD.

Residents report feces thrown at front door

Saturday, a resident of 209 Bishop Street, surrounded by fraternities, reported a series of incidents of criminal mischief and theft that have occurred at her residence within the last two weeks. The victim told officers that she and her housemates are part of Miami's Greek system, but did not seem to think that their being in a sorority prompted these crimes. Items stolen include a table and speaker system taken from the porch. There was human feces thrown at the door, beer bottles thrown at house, and lawn chairs thrown against the house. There are no known suspects at this time.

Female holds up traffic

Sunday 1:02 a.m., a Miami metro bus driver reported to OPD that an intoxicated female was standing in traffic. Police found first-year Emily Wessel on South Locust Street, according to OPD. She was arrested and charged with sales to and use of underage persons.
