The Miami University rugby club team hosted Davenport University on Saturday, Sept. 25 to start the 2010 season. The team's first time competing in Division I was a narrow loss to Davenport, 30-27.
This is not the first time Miami has faced Davenport. Earlier this year the two teams faced off to decide if Miami (then Division II) would advance to Division I competition. Miami narrowly edged out Davenport, 21-17, to claim a spot among Midwest Collegiate Division I teams.
