This weekend, we are blessed to have a doubleheader with both men's and women's basketball at Millett Hall. With the large tournament looming as March approaches, both teams are down to the wire for a spot. The men's team currently is second in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) behind Kent State University and is hoping to secure the number one seed for the MAC tournament. Winning the tournament would secure a spot in the NCAA tournament for a chance for a national championship.
How are we going to get there? You. The home court advantage is everything in college hoops. We all know how the home advantage terrorizes opponents. Just last week, you showed your true colors when you made the difference in the game against Kent State. We were down, we went into overtime, but you prevailed. You kept the game close for Miami and allowed them to close out the game for the win. Between the dancing and giant faces of Snooki, Betty White and Justin Bieber, you carried the team on your back into victory, but don't just leave it all at that one game. Bring your energy Saturday. These last few games are critical and the team needs you as their sixth man.
