The first test for Miami University's new head football coach Mike Haywood will be a "Rumble at the River" against the University of Kentucky Wildcats Sept. 5.

Although it is considered a home game, it will not be played at Yager Stadium.

Instead, the site will be Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, home of the Bengals.

Since accepting the position, Haywood has emphasized the importance of the Red and White faithful coming to support the team in Cincinnati.

The athletic department is offering deals to Miami students for the game next fall.

The first package is the Touchdown Package, which offers a game ticket, limited edition T-shirt, a concession coupon and round-trip transportation for $30.

The second package is the Field Goal package, which offers a game ticket, a limited edition T-shirt and a concession coupon for only $20. A single game ticket is worth $10.

At a news conference Tuesday between Haywood and Coach Rich Brooks of Kentucky, Haywood told reporters Miami "has buses and transportation for our students because this is a home game for us, and we want to see a stadium full of red and white."

Brooks said he will also try to figure out a way to get his students to come and support his team.
