'Hawks own 3rd longest winning streak in nation

With a 6-2 victory over Eastern Kentucky Tuesday afternoon, the RedHawks now boast the third-longest winning streak in the nation, winning their 10th game in a row.

Only the University of Arizona and Coasta Carolina University have longer winning streaks than Miami. The Wildcats have won 11 straight games, while the Chanticleers have won 15 straight games.

Miami captured its 10th straight victory thanks to home runs by sophomores Blake Chaffee and Jordan Petraitis, who provided the offense, while Chris Niro pitched six innings allowing just one run.

The RedHawks have won 13 of their last 14 games this season and have seen their record improve to 17-9 overall.

This weekend the 'Hawks head to EMU where they will put their perfect 6-0 MAC record on the line against the Eagles.
