A female Miami University student was transported by medical helicopter to a local hospital after being struck by a pick-up truck on U.S. Route 27 near Western Drive Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was conscious at the time of transport, according to Oxford Police Sgt. John Jones.
Jones said the accident remains under investigation and the victim's injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
The accident occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Multiple pedestrians have been hit this year in the area where Wednesday's accident occurred.
The police weren't immediately able to release any additional information about the accident.
