Q: How did you get into soccer?

My twin sister and I grew up in Cincinnati and started playing when we were five. When I turned nine I started playing club soccer. After seventh grade, we moved to Massachusetts, where I continued to play.

Q: How did you decide to come to Miami?

A ton of my family attended Miami. My parents went to Miami, my twin sister goes to Miami and a lot of my cousins also went here. When my sister and I were little we used to come up to Miami for homecoming and we'd play in soccer tournaments (here).

Q: What is the best part of being a student-athlete?

You join an instant family. There are 25 girls who are your family

immediately. It's so much fun, the people you get to meet and the places you get to go are just great.

Q: What is the biggest challenge of being a student-athlete?

Finding time to do everything and adjusting to having to manage both school and soccer is definitely the biggest challenge. It's the hardest freshman and sophomore year but once you get it down, it's fine.

Q: What are your relationships like with the girls on the team?

We are all really close, this year especially. I live with two other girls on the team and we are with each other all the time and have classes together. It's like a second family, which is especially nice since I'm so far from home.

Q: What is your favorite place to eat on/off campus?

On campus would definitely be Panache. After practice we all hop in someone's car and drive over there. Off campus I would have to say Paesano's, but only when someone's parents are in town or when we can afford it!

Q: What are your hobbies?

I like arts and crafts, watching movies, hanging out with the girls on the team and sitting on my porch.

Q: What is your major and what are your plans with your major?

I'm a marketing major but I have no real plans yet. I have a fifth year of eligibility so I might stay an extra year for grad school. I'd like to go to school for education and do Teach for America.

Q: What is the best prank that's ever happened to you?

Two of the girls from Sweden on our team put more than 2,000 post it notes on my car and put Swedish fish on it. My sister had spent the night at my house the night before and she woke up and went to use the car and couldn't get in it.

Q: What is your favorite vacation spot?

Cape Cod. We go at least 10 times during the summer, every Friday to Sunday in June and July. It's so relaxing and close and great to be on the beach.
