Associated Student Government tallies election results

Votes for the 2009 Associated Student Government (ASG) student body elections have all been counted, double checked for hanging chads and now they're official.

Senior Jonathan McNabb won the student body president race with 71 percent of the vote, while junior Cassidy Pazyniak took the race for vice president for campus activities with 59 percent of the vote, according to Doug Haynes, president of ASG student senate.

Juniors Adam Harris and Andrew Ferguson were also on the ballot for vice president of the student body and vice president of student organizations, respectively, but both races were uncontested.

4,115 students cast votes in this year's election on Blackboard between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday.
