Miami University’s 2023 spring semester continues to hurtle toward its end, and students are starting to seek out burrows and haunts to hunker down in and prepare for finals.
A study break occurs between the shelves on the second floor of King Library.
Some people are spreaders and take up a whole table at Armstrong Student Center. Some like it quiet, like in King Library. Some focus better outside — or maybe they just appreciate the fresh air.
Students fill the plush chairs outside David W. Fritz Pavilion in Armstrong Student Center. Whether for studying or kicking back, the seats are typically taken.
First-year Marion Dix, for one, prefers the coffee shop scene.
“I like the ambience of cafes for studying,” she said.
The biology pre-med major and Spanish minor sits in the Starbucks inside Withrow Hall almost every week to get a few things done. Going into finals week she’s focused on her chemistry lab and biology exam.
