Two male Miami University students were shot Tuesday night during a robbery at a house in the 200 block of N. Campus Ave., Oxford Police said.
Police said one victim was sent to McCullough-Hyde memorial hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. He was discharged from the hospital late Wednesday morning.
The second victim was transported to West Chester Hospital, north of Cincinnati, with similar wounds.
Oxford Police responded to a report of shots fired at around 7:44 p.m. on Oct. 4 at 210 N. Campus Ave. -- the house known as "Study A Broad."
The victims told police that two males, one white and one black with shoulder-length dreadlocks, came to the house for a pre-arranged car sale. During the sale, one suspect pulled out a gun and fired three shots at the victims before running off with an unknown amount of cash.
Police were seen removing a black SUV from N. Campus Avenue at around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police are still searching for the shooters.
Although the Miami University Police Department issued a "police activity" alert, warning students to avoid the area, a crowd of more than 50 students, some wearing nothing but slippers and bath robes, gathered outside of the house.
The shooting is still under investigation.
