Among its nearly 40 casinos and resorts located around the world, Caesars Entertainment has a casino in downtown Cincinnati. Guests visit Horseshoe Casino for slots, table games and dining.
Horseshoe is located approximately 40 minutes from campus. However, according to Public Relations Specialist for Horseshoe Cincinnati Gayane Makaryan, since gambling is for guests ages 21 and over, Horseshoe does not do any marketing to college students.
Those who do visit Horseshoe Cincinnati have seven options of dining ranging from an upscale steak restaurant to a burger palace. Dining options include Jack Binion's Steak, Vintage 51, The Spread Buffet, Cafe Italia, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, Bobby's Burger Palace and a Starbucks. According to Horseshoe Cincinnati's official website, two of these restaurants face outward so guests can enjoy the surrounding downtown Cincinnati landscape.
Horseshoe's poker room holds games including Texas Hold 'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud and Razz.
According to its website, Horseshoe Cincinnati is, "home to Ohio's first ever World Series of Poker Circuit Event."
In addition to the poker room, guests will find nearly 2,000 slots ranging from penny games to a $500 win. Through a touch-screen technology included in the slot machine, guests are able to order a drink at any time throughout their round as well.
Video poker is another option for guests at Horseshoe Cincinnati. This includes Bonus Poker, Deuces Wild, Super Times Pay, and All Star Poker, to name a few. Horseshoe's website boasts their wide variety of denominations of video poker, including high-limit machines.
Horseshoe Cincinnati offers 87 table games. Among these are table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat and Mississippi Stud. Gamblers are offered games with high table limits as well.
"Horseshoe is known as the home of the highest table limits, and at Horseshoe Cincinnati you can play High-limit Slots and Blackjack at up to $50,000 a hand," Makaryan said.
In addition to its wide variety of slots, table games and poker room options, Horseshoe Cincinnati also is booking events with their space. These include banquets, meetings, weddings and VIP parties. This attraction is a recent addition to the Horseshoe experience, beginning in the spring of 2013.
Due to its location in the downtown Cincinnati area, a Horseshoe visit can also be a family-friendly experience. Local attractions around the casino include the Cincinnati Art Museum, Kings Island, the Cincinnati Zoo and Washington Park, with free events and concerts year-round.
