Victim receives threating texts involving 'turf'

Around 10 p.m. Monday, an Oxford Police Department officer (OPD) met with a complainant in reference to a telecommunications harassment report. The victim said between Friday and Sunday he received several text messages from someone that he does not know.

The messages were specific and made comments about him moving in on [the suspects] "turf." Officers think this could mean something about selling drugs. The victim has no idea why the caller would have singled him out and he also stated he does not wish to pursue charges at this time and he only wants the incident documented.

Girl receives harrassing phone calls from boy

Around 12 p.m. Thursday, an Oxford Police Department officer (OPD) met with a Miami University student complainant in response to a telephone harassment report. The victim said over the last several weeks she had received several calls and messages from her sister's ex-boyfriend.

According to the victim, the sister wanted to break contact with the ex-boyfriend and he had been contacting family members to try and locate the sister. There have not been any threats made during the calls.

Student reports food thrown on porch

Around 9 a.m. Thursday, an Oxford Police Department officer (OPD) met with a Miami University student complainant in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. The victim said sometime overnight someone threw several assorted food items on the front porch and the front of her house.

Audi owner calls about broken side mirror

Around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, an Oxford Police Department officer (OPD) met with a Miami University student in reference to a property damage report. The victim said sometime between last Thursday and Saturday someone broke the passenger side mirror of his 2012 Audi. The vehicle was parked at Beech Street and Withrow Street when it was damaged and the victim estimated the repairs to be around $500.
