Repeat offender found in bathroom

At 2:33 a.m. on Feb. 11, officers were dispatched to 36 E. High St. for a female that had passed out in the women's restroom. Upon arrival, he observed a female inside a toilet stall with her pants down and the door shut. The female was asleep on the toilet after the bar had closed. The officer opened the stall door and immediately recognized the female from a prior incident where she had once again been too intoxicated to leave the bar at closing time. The female's words were slurred and she smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage. The life squad was called to take her away. Once at the hospital, she was cited for Public Intoxication.

Knife fight between males uptown

At 2:16 a.m.on Feb. 13, officers responded to 210 S. Campus Ave. to a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, the officers observed a shirtless male yelling and screaming at another group of males in an alley next to the residence. The officers recognized the male offender from a crime committed an hour earlier that night where the male had been suspected of forced entry and assault. The officer recognized the other group of males involved in the fight as the victims in the home the male offender had broken into approximately an hour earlier. According to everyone involved, the males whose home had originally been broken into took it upon themselves to go to the original offender's home and initiate a physical altercation. The male threatened the group of males with a knife, at which point the police were called. One of the males involved captured the incident on video. The knife was recovered on the porch of the male offender's home. The male was taken into custody for his threatening behavior. He was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Criminal Mischief, Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. He was taken to Butler County Jail.

Male found "digging for letucce"

At 2:15 a.m. on Feb. 14, officer was dispatched to Best Western on East Sycamore Street in reference to a male passed out near the rear door of the hotel. The officer arrived and found a white male in the flowerbed near the back door digging at the mulch with his hands. The officer asked the male what he was doing and said "getting lettuce." The male was hard to understand due to the severity of slurred speech. He was only able to stay on his feet with the officer's assistance. The officer tried to find out from the male where he was going or if he was a guest at the hotel, but he was unable to speak coherent words. The officer smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on the male's breath and called for the Oxford Life Squad to come for an evaluation. The male was transported to the hospital due to extreme intoxication and hypothermia. The male was cited for Sales and Use by Underage Persons and Disorderly Conduct.
