How to show up and show out with your Halloween costume this year

As Halloween approaches and students scramble to rummage through closets to pull together last-minute costumes, it can be tricky to curate the perfect one. Niche, but not too niche. Sexy, yet tasteful. Classic, but not overdone. Coming up with one costume can be hard enough, let alone enough for the entire weekend.Although I have already chosen my costumes for this year, here are five Halloween costumes that I would totally wear and recommend for others.

Great vibe, forgettable food: Sorriso review

When you walk into Sorriso, you’re welcomed in by a cozy, old-school atmosphere. Jazz music hums in the background and classic black-and-white films play on the walls. It feels like the kind of spot you’d want to linger in on a quiet night out in Oxford. With such a great ambiance, I was hopeful the food would match it.

We aren’t bored enough: Doomscrolling is outdating hobbies

"The option to continually swipe after two seconds of disengagement feeds and affirms the catalytic nature of boredom: anything that is slower and quieter is automatically correlated to what the mind recognizes as a type of harm to the mind and in need of relief. Even if cognitively, we want to enjoy our hobbies, we just can’t."

OPINION

What is the college experience, really?

"A lot of their plans included going out to the bars Uptown or checking out parties, so I was a little bummed. I wanted to have fun like the others around me, but my idea of fun looked different from theirs. I decided to take matters into my own hands and find my own version of the college experience."
