Miami adopts new budget model, targets deans’ performances

Miami University’s new budget model – RCM 4.0 – is a continued push by the administration to focus on higher-enrolled majors, while also identifying low-enrolled majors to the deans of their respective colleges for consolidation or elimination. The Responsibility Center Management (RCM) budgeting will draw institutional revenue from a student’s “primary” major.

‘F1’ movie review: Dazzling visuals, score dampened by distracting plots

There are few things I would rather do than watch 20 multi-millionaires hurtle around oddly-shaped tracks in glamorous locales, battling it out in a marvel of instinct, engineering and strategy.It’s a passion that I have sacrificed my sleep schedule, money and, quite frankly, my sanity for, so when it was announced that Lewis Hamilton (arguably the greatest driver of all time and certainly the most decorated) was producing a Formula One (F1) movie, it was inevitable that I would watch it.Directed by Joseph Kosinski (of “Top Gun: Maverick” fame), starring Brad Pitt (“Fight Club” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”) and running just over two and a half hours, “F1” was a whirlwind, both good and bad.

No Kings Day: A reminder of the importance of action

In this time of constant fear and uncertainty, I needed to show that I wasn’t OK with what was happening. Even though I was just one body at a small demonstration outside D.C., I had helped. If everyone across the country had thought, “What’s the point? I’m just one person,” nothing would have happened.
